摘要: Background Natural products have gained importance recently for the treatment of obesity and its complications, partly because side effects modern drugs.Hence, we aimed to study compare effect varying concentrations Momordicacharantiaon adipogenesis adipolysis using 3T3-L1 pre-adipocyte cell lines. Methods pre-adipocytes were procured from National Center Cell Sciences, Pune, cultured in Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Media (DMEM) supplemented with 20% fetal bovine serum (FBS) 1 mM L-glutamine. An ethanolic extract M. charantia (EEMC)was prepared by graded ethanol fractionation method total phenol content (TPC) determined Folin-Ciocalteau (F-C) assay. The cytotoxic dose was sulforhodamine-B (SRB) assays (Cayman chemicals, Ann Arbor, USA) performed according manufacturer's protocols. Results treated increasing EEMC during (p= 0.012) after 0.026) differentiation demonstrated significant reduction lipid droplet accumulation. There a decrease glycerol release 0.018) increase 0.0007) EEMC. However, on greater than after. Conclusion data showed that 50% is potent inhibitor lipogenesis stimulator lipolysis pre-adipocytes. Further analyses will be determine key antioxidant compound(s) phenolic acid profiling high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Also, mechanism action elucidated.
