Three case studies in the Bayesian analysis of cognitive models.

摘要: Bayesian statistical inference offers a principled and comprehensive approach for relating psychological models to data. This article presents analyses of three influential models: multidimensional scaling stimulus representation, the generalized context model category learning, signal detection theory decision making. In each case, is recast as probabilistic graphical evaluated in relation previously considered data set. it shown that able provide answers important theoretical empirical questions easily coherently. The generality its potential understanding psychology are discussed.
