摘要: The clinical standard for alveolar cleft osteoplasty is augmentation with autologous bone being available in limited amounts and might be associated donor site morbidity. aim of the present study was creation tissue-engineered grafts their vivo evaluation regarding potential to promote osteogenesis an model. Artificial defects a diameter 3.3 mm were created surgically palate 84 adult Lewis rats. Four experimental groups (n = 21) examined: bovine hydroxyl apatite/collagen (bHA) without cells, bHA undifferentiated mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC), osteogenically differentiated MSC. In control group, defect remained empty. After 6, 9 12 weeks, remaining volume assessed by cone beam computed tomography. Histologically, width percentage formation quantified. 60.1% bHA, 74.7% MSC 81.8% For measured 46.2% which statistically significant difference (p < 0.001). design suitable evaluate prior application. this set-up described maxillary defect, no promoting influence on containing could confirmed. sufficient graft preserve patients from
