A consistent u‐p formulation for porous media with hysteresis

摘要: This paper presents a continuum formulation based on the theory of porous media for mechanics liquid unsaturated media. The hysteresis retention model is carefully modelled, including derivation corresponding consistent tangent moduli. quadratic convergence Newton's method solving highly nonlinear system with an implicit finite element code demonstrated. A u-p proposed where time discretisation carried out prior to space discretisation. In this way, all moduli fairly straightforward. Time integration approximated Theta and Newmark's methods, hence fully coupled dynamics considered. It shown that requires also second-order derivative convergence. Some predictive simulations are presented illustrating capabilities formulation, in particular modelling complex behaviour.
