摘要: Abstract Objectives This study was designed to evaluate the effects of percutaneous left atrial appendage transcatheter occlusion (PLAATO) on anatomic and hemodynamic properties mitral valve (MV) upper pulmonary vein (LUPV). Background PLAATO is a device seal neck (LA) reduce embolization in patients with fibrillation intolerant warfarin. The impact deployment this adjacent structures has not been reported. Methods Patients participating ongoing for evaluation were enrolled. Transesophageal echocardiographies at baseline, one, six months reviewed measure LA LUPV dimensions, degree regurgitation, stability device, peak MV E-wave velocity, systolic diastolic flow velocities LUPV. Data analyzed by linear mixed model repeated measures. Results Eleven (mean age 72 ± 7 years) completed follow-up. Left diameter (mean: 1.55, 1.61, 1.54 cm, p = 0.13) 0.38, 0.34, 0.31 m/s, 0.72) 0.39, 0.40, 0.42 0.46) did differ over follow-up period. size, regurgitation severity, 0.94, 0.82 0.58) showed no significant change from baseline. devices remained stable their sites minimal residual around them. Conclusions achieved an adequate without effect structure or function
