摘要: Background: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is the most common diagnosis accounting for more healthcare costs than any diagnosis. CHF readmissions contribute significantly to this expenditure. Quality of care in heart failure linked process based performance measures. This study evaluated relationship between adherence metrics and 30 day readmission rates. Methods: was a single center case-control that 6063 consecutive patients admitted with from December 2001 through 2008. Data collected hospital within days compliance measures at discharge. Results: The rate increased steadily 16.8% 2002 24.8% Adherence concurrently during same time frame 88.7% 98.9%.Except left ventricular function (LVF) assessment, not associated Readmitted had twice odds having their LVF assessed (OR: 2.0; p<0.00005; 95% CI: 1.45-2.63) Conclusions: measures, except assessment have little after More studies need be done identify correlate quality patients.
