A novel PDMS diaphragm micropump based on ICPF actuator

摘要: This article presented the development of a novel polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) micro pump based on ICPF (Ionic Conducting Polymer Film) actuator toward biomedical system and drug delivery system. provided an actuating approach for demand miniaturization low actuation voltages. micropump is composed equipped in sealed chamber, two check valves which are normally closed. Due to bending force thermo pneumatic generated by Joel heat, PDMS diaphragm adheres driven reciprocating. So liquid working chamber can be pumped from inlet outlet. A physics model was developed show relationship between input voltage flow rate. Superior pumping performance achieved when duty ratio applied 40%. While comparison, with design better than that opening chamber. And some experiments were manipulated characteristics valve. Experimental results indicate rate as high 202µl/min at driving frequency 2Hz 5V. The this promising further chemical analysis applications.
