摘要: Abstract The reduction of celestite concentrate to SrS using Al has been shown be induced by mechanical activation. A thermodynamic appraisal showed that the reaction between SrSO 4 and is highly exothermic should self-sustaining. XRD analyses started only after milling for an induction time 30–35 min, product peaks were present. Increasing up 60 min had no significant effect other than refining crystallite size. aluminium was not 2 O 3 as expected but mixed phases such Sr 32 51 , SrAl 7 which thought formed adventitious oxidation process.
