摘要: WE HAVE recently presented some observations which suggested that in the fetal rat hypophysis cerebri secretes a hormone (ACTH), this stimulates secretion of an active principle(s) by adrenal cortex and does not produce any appreciable quantity androgen, if (Kitchell Wells, 1951). It was observed fetuses 20th day has two zones. In those 22nd it three: outer, intermediate inner. The cells zone are large, they contain droplets osmiphilic lipids. Implanted ACTH speeds up growth cortex, while removal decapitation retards it. This retardation can be prevented means injected ACTH.
