摘要: There was a net influx of suspended particulate matter to the uppermost part Rhode River estuary during several years this study. Most due episodic discharges sediment from watershed heavy rains. In contrast, tidal exchange not related rainstorms. Sediment composition data and historical records indicate that marsh accretion accounts for only 13% trapping although marshes occupy 60% study area. Influx is directly amount time they are submerged cycles.
