摘要: Newborn sibling platyfish, Xiphophorus maculatus, were placed into one-third sea water (/sup 1///sub 3/ SW) and controls retained in fresh (FW). At 6 months of age, groups fish transferred from /sup SW to FW for 2,3,4 7days. Light microscopic, cytometric, autoradiographic analyses the pituitary glands provided evidence low synthetic activity prolactin cells kept months, an increase this by 2 days afetr returned FW. The similarity these results those previously obtained when platyfish 30 suggests that time required restoration their is not a function spent saline medium.
