摘要: Abstract We have developed an on-line computer-controlled sensor, based on ultrasound reflection measurements, to determine the product of viscosity and density a liquid or slurry for Newtonian fluids shear impedance non-Newtonian fluids. A 14 MHz wave transducer is bonded one side 45°–90° fused silica wedge base in contract with liquid. Twenty-eight echoes were observed due multiple reflections ultrasonic horizontal (SH) within wedge. The fast Fourier transform each echo was obtained water, which serves as calibration fluid, coefficient at solid–liquid interface obtained. Data 11 sugar water solutions ranging concentration from 10% 66% by weight. values are shown be good agreement those independently using laboratory viscometer. data acquisition time 14 s this can reduced judicious selection determining coefficient. measurement results determination velocity sensor deployed process control pipeline, part pipeline wall, immersed tank.
