摘要: Three experiments on the coding and retention of movement-generated information were performed two groups mildly retarded children varying in MA. The cue to be reproduced each case was terminal position limb that studies with adults have shown require central processing activity for maintained performance. In Experiment 1, although older MA group superior, both showed similar decrements performance over a 15-second interval. 2 procedures adopted an attempt overcome deficits. Subjects allowed choose (preselect) their own movements voluntarily addition performing constrained, experimenter-defined movements. Preselected reproduction superior constrained at all three intervals (0, 7, 15 seconds) but not statistically different among age groups. Also, 7 seconds deteriorated seconds. These results replicated 3, which also interpolated motor task designed block rehearsal processes interfered 7- retention-interval conditions. findings indicated could maintain brief time periods illustrated important contribution planning component facilitating motoric information.
