摘要: To protect the integrity of science, we must look beyond falsification, fabrication and plagiarism, to a wider range questionable research practices, argue Brian C. Martinson, Melissa S. Anderson Raymond de Vries. In questionnaire-based survey US biomedical researchers, respondents admitted dubious practices. Transgressions included failing present data contradicting one's own (6%) ignoring based on ‘gut feeling’ that it was wrong (15%). Writing survey, Martinson et al. call this picture misbehaviour “striking in its breadth prevalence”.
