摘要: Oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) is a chronic and insidious oral mucosal disease, which always carries high risk of transition to cancer. Mainly based on genetic predisposition in pharmacokinetics for toxic substances betel quid, there are obviously variable responses quid among chewers. But the key genes resulting interindividual variability OSF development still obscure. The cytochrome P450 3A (CYP 3A) gene family plays major roles oxidative metabolism active endogenous xenobiotic substrates, generally found polymorphic with variant alleles different individuals regarded as determinant chemicals pharmacokinetics. Based specific property CYP 3A, we consider this polymorphically expressed genotype could be predictor susceptibility. Betel-quid chewers lower level expression might more susceptible toxicity higher lesion. Meanwhile, at genetically screened according polymorphisms some exclusive regions genes. By analyzing genes, differentiate betel-quid chewers, then guide therapy.
