Measurements of DT alpha particle loss near the outer midplane of TFTR

摘要: Measurements of DT alpha particle loss to the outer midplane region TFTR have been made using a radially movable scintillator detector. The conclusion from this data is that mechanisms determining are not substantially different those for DD fusion products. Some these results compared with simplified theoretical model TF ripple induced loss, which expected be dominant classical mechanism near midplane. An example given plasma driven MHD midplane, but no sign any `collective` instability has yet observed at location
