摘要: Leishmania infantum causes visceral leishmaniasis (kala-azar), the most severe form of leishmaniasis, which is lethal if untreated. A few years ago, re-sequencing and de novo assembling L. (JPCM5 strain) genome was accomplished, now we aimed to describe characterize experimental proteome this species. In work, performed a proteomic analysis from axenic cultured promastigotes carried out detailed comparison with other proteomes published date. We identified 2352 proteins based on search mass spectrometry data against database built six-frame translated sequence infantum. detected many belonging organelles such as glycosomes, mitochondria, or flagellum, well metabolic enzymes putative RNA binding molecular chaperones. Moreover, listed some presenting post-translational modifications, phosphorylations, acetylations, methylations. On hand, identification peptides mapping genomic regions previously annotated non-coding allowed for correction annotations, leading N-terminal extension protein sequences uncovering eight novel protein-coding genes. The alliance proteomics, genomics, transcriptomics has resulted in powerful combination improving annotation reference genome.
