Ergonomics in the rescue service—Ergonomic evaluation of ambulance cots

摘要: Abstract In a comparative ergonomic study, three combinations of stretchers with incorporated transporters from brand-name manufacturers—so-called “ambulance cots” or “roll-in systems”—were tested respect to their quality. addition work analyses during the use ambulance cots, strain on circulatory system 12 professionals was measured in four standardized carrying tests: stretcher staircase at normal speed and increased speed, lifting onto gurney, loading cot into, as well unloading it from, an ambulance.
