摘要: We studied humoral immune function in 267 children with recurrent respiratory infections referred to our immunology clinic determine the most appropriate immunologic studies for evaluating children. Of this highly selected population, 58% had a partial deficiency one or more of major immunoglobulin isotypes IgG subclasses (defined as at least 2 SD below normal age-adjusted mean). In none patients was there total absence an isotype. The common abnormality IgA deficiency, which found third patients. Twenty-six only subclass deficiencies, 20 were deficiencies single subclass. IgG1 isolated defect three patients, IgG3 five and IgG2 IgG4 selective defects six each. Tetanus toxoid pneumopolysaccharide type 3 immunogenic immunogens tested; hyporesponsiveness pneumococcal polysaccharide types 7, 9, 14 common. Nineteen percent concentrations who tested lower-than-expected antibody titers; 42% those isotype deficient responses. 25 combined eight deficiencies. Our findings indicate that high proportion clinics infection have demonstrable abnormality. Selective without associated is unusual. Identification such not predictive capacity form antibodies antigens study and, opinion, adds little initial evaluation
