Population nomadic pastoralism and the environment in the Mongolian Plateau.

摘要: The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between population, economic activity and environment in Mongolian Plateau. This analysis provides a valuable case study for several reasons. First, it elucidates specific ecosystem—the steppe—that has not received much attention literature traditional consistent with such environment: nomadic pastoralism. Second, Plateau shared by two entities, different social organisation: Republic Mongolia Inner Autonomous Region People's China. Third, these entities have also experienced population dynamics that resulted densities pressure on natural resources.
