Diversification and evaluation of cytoplasmic nuclear male sterility system in pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan).

摘要: A study was conducted during 1996-2006 to diversify the cytoplasmic nuclear male sterility of 'GT 288 A'. In this 5 agronomically superior and disease-resistant pigeonpea genotypes, namely 'UPAS 120', 'PA 163', 'PDA 89-2E', 'Hy 4' 'H 28B' were used for diversification Backcross method followed after generations backcrossing these genotypes got converted in sterile lines. These new lines evaluated characterized agronomic traits, qualitative disease resistance pollen sterility. observed as 100% A' with respect traits resistance.
