摘要: Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common human cancers. Genes expressed only in tissue, especially on cell membrane, may be useful biomarkers for diagnosis and therapeutics. In present study, we focused PCDHB9 gene, which encodes transmembrane protein protocadherin B9. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed that 62 (36%) 173 GC cases were positive Protocadherin B9 staining was mainly observed membrane. Expression frequently found intestinal-type correlated with poor prognosis patients GC. Although knockdown or forced expression did not change growth invasion activity a line, adhesion to fibronectin significantly reduced by enhanced overexpression PCDHB9. levels ITGA3, ITGA4, ITGA5, ITGB1 Furthermore, both number size spheres culture decreased increased peritoneal dissemination mouse model, weight total disseminated nodules MKN-74 cells These results indicate plays an important role progression rather than pathogenesis Specific inhibitors constitute promising anti-cancer drugs fewer side-effects.
