摘要: Abstract The magnetic susceptibility of UN, and the higher uranium nitrides has been measured over a wide temperature range, i.e., 4.2–950 K. A large temperature-independent term χ 0 equal to 310 ± 10 × −6 emu/mole derived from total data UN. obtained M values UN are also related Knight shift literature. For U 2 N 3+ x for N:U ratios between 1.55 1.80. Antiferromagnetic phase transitions have found all examined compositions. transition T gradually decreases as nitrogen content increases, varying 94 K about 8 maximum composition 1.80±0.02 . properties discussed in terms mixed valency states, either 4+ 6+ or 5+ stoichiometric 3
