摘要: Studies of a number Atlantic abyssal plains in relation to feasibility study on the sub-seabed disposal radioactive waste have shown that sedimentation is caused by various sediment transport mechanisms. The eastern North Madeira Abyssal Plain and western Nares may serve as examples resulting widely differing sedimentary patterns. An understanding these patterns basis for successful site investigation an plain setting.
