摘要: Effects of changes in posture upon plethysmogram and skin temperature are investigated. Since posture, by altering venous return, affects pulse volume response digital to procedures releasing sympathetic tone, these should not be interpreted solely terms arterial blood flow. In the normal elevated limb, e.g., body heating simulates organic disease. The clinical significance findings is discussed with particular reference interpretation readings, diagnosis thromboantiitis obliterans, indications for sympathectomy poliomyelitis, management edematous limb other conditions.
