摘要: Abstract Metallic-semiconducting Ta3B2@Ta2O5 heterostructure with enhanced photocatalytic activity have been prepared by in-situ solid state reaction, using Ta2O5 and NaBH4 powders. As-prepared products were characterized XRD, FESEM, HRTEM, EDS, XPS UV–vis absorption. The results showed that (2 1 0) crystal surface of Ta3B2 tightly combined (0 0 1) to form a core-hell heterostructure. From the test, there is about 80% methylene blue (MB) being photodegraded in 180 min over Ta3B2@Ta2O5, which two times higher than pure commercial powder ~38%. It worthy pointing out activities originate from metallic layer interface nanodots. This special construction could accelerate electron mobility, increase visible light harvesting enhance electron-hole separation ratio. Therefore, as promising photocatalyst should potential applications removal environmental pollution.
