摘要: Since the impoundment of Three Gorges Reservoir in June 2003, a number new landslides have occurred and existing been made worse. The 1,260 × 104 m3 Baishuihe landslide, located at 56 km west Dam, began to deform more noticeably after first early July 2003. sliding two blocks comprising one an active block other relatively stable block, became apparent approximately 5 years monitoring. Field recordings show that landslide displacement is affected by combined effects rainfall water level reservoir. These investigated present paper, including deformation characteristics (movement pattern, direction, velocity) earmarking temporal evolution block. Based on practical creep model large rock slide, alert velocity thresholds for pre-alert, emergency phases computed corresponding imminence failure. are being proposed be included as part early-warning system plan drawn up minimize adverse impact event intended implemented risk management tool relevant authorities near future.
