摘要: Background The study was performed to establish a level of practice needed for newly-trained residents maintain robotic surgical skills during periods inactivity. Methods Ten were trained standardized surgery proficiency with inanimate models. At the end two, four and six weeks, practiced models total one hour. Each resident timed tissue closure task immediately after reaching standards twice in succession at eight weeks. Time completion compared between three trials repeated measures ANOVA post-hoc test. Results Average time complete decreased by more than 25% over period difference significant (P < 0.004). Conclusions Biweekly hour sufficient skills. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
