摘要: The aim of this chapter is to explore what extent heteronormativity, the norm that man and woman are attracted each other because their presumed difference complementarity, can offer an explanation for persisting association between masculinity technological/computer competence. Two aspects heteronormative gender relations, namely sexual attractiveness division labour particularly explored. main focus in on how technological competence gendered represented mass media. Along with this, some examples consequences these imaginaries ideology people's lives will be given. Amongst youth popular soap operas, stereotypical images repeated technologically competent men socially women. For women, image also seemed dominate personal lives, where they want stay away from technologies as soon there was a around. Being (hetero)sexually attractive being computer did not go well together several block buster movies. adolescents included study clearly shared notion. These two heteronormativity do seem strengthen understanding why it so hard women choose career technology computing science.
