摘要: Summary Background Mechanical pressure is increasingly applied as a means to prevent or treat keloid scars. Aim The aim of this study analyze the long-term efficacy our custom-molded pressure-adjustable earclips recurrence after surgical excision. Methods Using earclip, 88 patients who had undergone ear surgery for scars were treated 12 h day 6–18 months. mean follow-up was 6.5 years. primary outcome keloids with patient satisfaction being secondary assessed by Patient and Observer Scale (POSAS). Results Keloid did not recur in 70.5% patients. Fitzpatrick scale, which classifies human skin type, significantly different between nonrecurrence group. Differences other characteristics found both groups. All parameters mentioned POSAS scale drastically improved therapy. There no severe side effects observed Conclusion Our earclip model an effective tool prevention associated high satisfaction. Its benefits should prompt further studies on its value adjuvant therapy treatment. Level evidence III Evidence Rating Therapeutic Studies.
