摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter deals with the trends and developments in field of organometallic-lanthanide hydride chemistry. chemistry was born pioneering works published early 80s. delay, comparison late d-element chemistry, has several reasons, main one being difficulty to apply usual synthetic methods, that is, displacement a halide by metallic hydride, MH, or borohydride, MBH4, synthesis lanthanide hydrides. A very important point not well understood during first investigations organolanthanides necessity rigorously exclude oxygen moisture, and, some cases, also avoid presence solvents bearing oxygenated functions such as ethers. All complexes are exceedingly reactive, even themselves. Thus, their needed more sophisticated methods than Schlenk techniques. The characterization function organolanthanide hydrides classical spectroscopic remains difficult. frequent paramagnetism ion causes both broadening significant shift NMR signal away from diamagnetic region.
