摘要: Abstract The current study evaluates the bio-potential of Aspergillus niger to leach out Nickel, Vanadium from spent fluid catalytic cracking catalyst (SFCCC) and is compared with chemical leaching by organic inorganic acids. Bioleaching efficiency Nickel at 1, 3 5% pulp densities were 16.5, 13 8% respectively. percentage same was found be 55, 37 27% Leaching decreased increase in density which may due toxic effects metals present SFCCC. medium bioleaching resulted 4.7% 18% leaching, far less than one step (OSB). This attributed high citric acid production (100 mM) OSB perhaps triggered key acidic pH suggests acidolysis as principal mechanism. Oxalic dominant agent for while Vanadium, took over. only predominant acids produced niger. Biogenically agents apart accounted 40% leaching. It evident that removal volatile carbonaceous material SFCCC improved three folds.
