摘要: In this article, an overview is presented of the growth work in human-computer interaction (HCI) over last 40years. Inevitably much must be omitted, but referenced papers may fill some gaps. Various formative influences and contributing disciplines are noted. Aspects research human factors knowledge prominent, attention also given to technology, applied problems, design for usability. Finally, after summarizing three age-group partitions, major threads development noted under heading continuities from past perspectives into future.
