摘要: The battery driven nature of wireless sensor networks, combined with the need for operational lifetimes months to years, mandates that energy efficiency be treated as a metric utmost priority while designing these distributed sensing systems. This chapter presents an overview energy-centric node design techniques enable designers significantly extend system and network lifetime. Such extensions life can only obtained by eliminating inefficiencies from all aspects node, ranging hardware platform operating system, protocols, application software.
