摘要: Aim:  To quantify the consumed amount of dietary folate and to evaluate effects folic acid balanced diets on serum concentrations. Material & Methods:  Food records collected from 641 pregnant women were assessed for a 6-year period 2003 2008. Changes in concentrations evaluated among 80 who either took tablets or 2008. Results:  Though intake averaged 331 µg daily, 200 1st trimester least folate, 294 µg daily. It was observed that 42% at 440 µg daily 400 µg supplements but 58% them neither nor supplements. Intakes 5 weeks resulted significant increase consumption had no effect increasing concentrations. Conclusions:  The average did not fulfill Recommended Dietary Allowance 440 µg. Serum concentration significantly increased only Recommendations consume do seem effective decrease incidence neural tube defects.
