摘要: The effect of vitamin D on bone changes during the reproductive cycle in female rats has been investigated. One group was maintained a D-deficient diet and another D-replete from weaning. Both groups were mated with normal males their bones determined histomorphometrically pregnancy, lactation, after All had typical rickets. Pregnancy caused significant reductions mineralized tissue trabecular cortical rats. Lactation further tissues both animals, greatest seen at Some restoration occurred following There an increase tetracycline-labeled surface animals likely due to formation rates. In there decrease tetracyclinelabeled surface, severely depressed mineralization. These results indicate that mobilization calcium maintain pregnancy lactation occurs by mechanism independent D.
