摘要: The causative mechanism of tendon calcification ('calcifying tendinitis') is unknown. In this report, pathological human samples were examined to give morphological and ultrastructural detail the calcified regions these findings compared with those from normal tendon. Selected specimens cryosectioned enable histochemical immunohistochemical comparison occurrence distribution specific matrix molecules in diseased tissues. lack collagen type II alkaline phosphatase suggests that process not mediated through an endochondral transition. contrast, areas characterised by widespread labelling for chondroitin-4-sulphate/dermatan sulphate intense pericellular localisation chondroitin-6-sulphate.
