Comparative analysis of cooling effect of crushed rock embankment along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway

摘要: Based on the in-situ monitoring data of ground temperature along Qinghai-Tibet Railway, cooling effects crushed rock embankments (crushed revetment embankment and U-shaped embankment) positioned in different permafrost regions with diverse mean annual temperatures were analyzed. The comparative analysis showed that either basically stable low (mean temperature-2.0 ℃≤TCP-1.0 ℃) or badly unstable warm TCP-0.5℃), had uplift table beneath effectively; but two kinds performed providing effect. latter produced more than former; it could keep deep thermal while raising shallow permafrost. Whereas rising somewhat consumed cold energy consequently made warmer. also indicated lower temperature, stronger effect air-convection embankment. It should be noted regions, hadn’t enough underlying warmed considerably; so some enhancement measures are needed to ensure long-term stability
