摘要: Skin, the largest organ of body, is in which changes associated with aging are most visible. Intrinsic (chronologic) skin characterized by atrophy loss elasticity and slowed metabolic activity. With superposition environmental damage, particularly exposure to ultraviolet radiation (photodamage) on intrinsic aging, process results, at least initially, hypertrophic repair response thickened epidermis increased melanogenesis. Even more striking occur dermis, i.e., massive elastosis (deposition abnormal elastic fibers), collagen degeneration, twisted, dilated microvasculature. Regular use a sunscreen alone appears allow for some as well protection from further photodamage. Local anti-aging therapy has been shown partially reverse clinical histologic induced combination sunlight chronologic aging. Histologic dermis noted after 12 months suggest photodamage reconstitution rete pegs, keratinocyte ultrastructural even distribution melanocytes melanin pigment, deposition new papillary dermal collagen, improvements vasculature. Hyperkeratinization normalized, while epidermal thickness glycosaminoglycan content increased. Briefly, many unwanted can be improved topical therapy.
