摘要: Understanding the role of land-use patterns in determining distribution nocturnal birds has important implications for conservation these species and land management. One step effective is to develop statistical models assess how probability birds’ presence can be influenced by types order support decision making planning at landscape or regional scale. The aim this study was evaluate extent configuration some prey (Strigiformes) European Nightjar Caprimulgus europaeus agricultural landscapes. We surveyed six (Eurasian Scops Owl Otus scops, Little Athene noctua, Barn Tyto alba, Long-eared Asio otus, Tawny Strix aluco Nightjar) 123 listening stations located nine protected areas southern Tuscany, Central Italy. Nocturnal were present 97 % stations, where variables relative measured. increased with increasing forest cover, amount arable land, whilst Eurasian open areas. model showed that edge scrubs. Our results suggest heterogeneous landscapes may favour coexistence several birds, since different are each associated types.
