摘要: Capsule In the areas studied, Tawny Owls showed extreme flexibility and opportunism, occupying most available vegetation types elevations below tree-line. Aims To assess habitat relationships for species so as to forecast potential impact of changes. Methods We censused a total 321 territories in 12 study covering regional variation elevation associated heterogeneity landscape configurations. Results The occupied virtually all configurations Nests were mostly located on cliffs, but also tree cavities, buildings, stick nests other raptors. Density varied from 60 territories/100 km2 mean nearest-neighbour distance 0.7 1.8 km, depending availability broadleaved woodland. Compared availability, nearer cliffs had higher richness edges types, which positively affected chick production. Diet composi...
