Retinoic acid inhibits pancreatic cancer cell migration and EMT through the downregulation of IL-6 in cancer associated fibroblast cells

摘要: Retinoic acid (RA) is a small molecular derivative of vitamin A that stored in quiescent stellate cells pancreas stroma. Cancer associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are activated fibroblast pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tumor microenvironment. We treated CAFs with RA and found these became static due to the low expression α-SMA, FAP, IL-6 decreased production extracellular matrix (ECM). Furthermore, we verified secretion from was related RA-induced inhibition migration epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) cells. However, could not inhibit EMT directly. Therefore, our study showed one therapeutic effects on through its modulation The microenvironment plays an important role promoting might be promising target biological treatment.
