摘要: Abstract The tumor-promoting agent 12- O -tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) delayed pigmentation in developmentally homogeneous quail neural crest cell populations vitro . Doses below 5 × 10 −8 M resulted only a delay for up to 2 days without changing the rate of pigmentation, whereas intermediate doses (5 –10 −7 ) initiation and decreased but had no effect on ultimate fate. TPA above irreversibly prevented some cells. did not influence growth undifferentiated population. Since decline proliferation that normally occurred with however, final number pigmented cells could be increased 10-fold TPA-treated cultures homogeneity cultures. A part from effects differentiation, caused an immediate change cellular association within clusters.
