Buspirone in the Treatment of Alcohol Dependence: A Placebo‐Controlled Trial

摘要: A double-blind controlled study of the effects buspirone on alcohol dependence and associated symptoms in ambulatory alcoholics showed a marked improvement both treatment control groups. However, significant differences favor medication were observed several psychopathological measures, but not measures consumption. Contrary to majority prior trials alcoholics, subjects selected basis comorbid generalized anxiety; rather, tested hypothesis direct effect craving consumption, independent from an anxiolytic effect. This was confirmed.
