Expression of nerve growth factor receptors and their prognostic value in human breast cancer.

摘要: Nerve growth factor (NGF) has been shown recently to be mitogenic for human breast cancer cells. In the present study, we have assayed expression of NGF receptors (NGFRs: TrkA and p75) mRNAs in 363 primary cancers, using real-time quantitative reverse transcription-PCR. NGFRs were found all tumor biopsies. p75 positively correlated respectively associated with histoprognostic grading type. both related progesterone receptors. univariate analyses, (>upper quartile) was longer overall survival. Histoprognostic grading, size, node involvement, steroid also prognostic factors. Cox multivariate not a parameter. This study demonstrates points out that patients high levels more favorable survival prognosis.
