摘要: Background. The incidence and severity of acute pancreatitisinpatientsundergoingdialysistreatmentareunknown. Methods. A questionnaire asking for the a first attack pancreatitis in chronic dialysispatientsintheyear2002wassenttothemembersof QuaSi-Niere gGmbH, an organization representing almost alldialysiscentresinGermany.Asecondquestionnairewas sent to those who reported such patients. Results. Response rates second questionnairewere72%(832outof1150centres)and100% (72 out 72 centres), respectively. After exclusion patientswithinvaliddata,55patientswithacutepancreatitis remained: 46 patients 68 715 haemodialysis (HD) (incidence rate 67/100 000/year; 95% confidence interval,49to89/100000/year)and9outof3386peritoneal dialysis (PD) 266/100 interval, 122 504/100 Fisher’s exact test: P = 0.002). Twenty-eight (51%) had known risk factor pancreatitis. When these were excluded, unknown aetiology was 32/100 000/year (20–48) HD (n, 22) 148/100 (48–345) PD 3; 0.016). required hospitaladmissionmorefrequentlythanHDpatients(100% versus 76%) suffered more frequently from necrotizing (50% 19%). Conclusions. Dialysis—especially PD—is another that increases susceptibility pancreas Acute undergoing is frequent seems be severe than receiving treatment.
