摘要: The U.S. EPA conducted a national statistical survey of fish fillet tissue with sample size 541 sites on boatable rivers =>5th order in 2008–2009. This is the first such study mercury (Hg) from river focused potential impacts to human health consumption also address wildlife impacts. Sample were identified as being urban or non-urban. All concentrations above 3.33 ug kg 1 (ppb) quantitation limit, and an estimated 25.4% (±4.4%) 51 663 miles assessed exceeded 300 fish-tissue based water quality criterion for mercury, representing 13 144 ± 181.8 miles. Estimates exceeding comparable aquatic life thresholds (translated whole equivalents) avian species similar number threshold, whereas some mammalian more at risk than lower concentrations. A comparison means non-urban data among three ecoregions did not indicate statistically significant difference Hg p < 0.05.
