摘要: Cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate (cAMP), the first second messenger to be described, plays a central role in cell signaling wide variety of types. Over last decades, body literature addressed different roles cAMP physiology, mainly response neurotransmitters and hormones. is synthesized by adenylyl cyclases that can generally grouped two types: transmembrane cyclase soluble cyclases. In particular, several aspects sperm physiology are regulated produced single atypical (Adcy10, aka sAC, SACY). The signature identifies sAC among other ACs, their direct stimulation bicarbonate. essential nature function has been demonstrated using gain as well loss approaches. This review unifies state art knowledge those enzymes involved pathways required for acquisition fertilizing capacity mammalian sperm. article part Special Issue entitled: health disease.
