Hayek, Popper, and the Causal Theory of the Mind

摘要: Purpose – The chapter provides an exposition both of Hayek's causal theory the mind (especially as applied to intentionality) and Popper's critique theories, argues that Hayek fails successfully rebut critique, shows how dispute between Popper is relevant controversies in contemporary philosophy mind. Methodology/approach –The elucidates ideas by situating them within history mind/body problem comparing views philosophers like Fred Dretske, Jerry Fodor, Hilary Putnam. Findings has yet be answered, either or theorists. Originality/value calls attention some important but neglected examines their as-yet-unpublished writings.
