摘要: Abstract Bilirubin oxidase was immobilised on ITO electrodes: bare or covered by nanoparticulate film. The latter material obtained immersion and withdrawal of the substrate into nanoparticles suspension. Formation a protein deposit confirmed scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. electrode surface is film in form globular aggregates it exhibits mediatorless electrocatalytic activity towards dioxygen reduction to water at pH 4.8. Modification with particles increases its catalytic about ten times up 110 μA cm −2 seen for electrodes prepared twelve steps nanoparticle almost unaffected addition mediator solution. stability increased cross-linking enzyme bovine serum albumin glutaraldehyde. This applied as biocathode zinc–dioxygen battery operating 0.1 mol dm −3 McIlvaine buffer (pH 4.8).
